Mr. Adi Raviv joined Northeast Securities, Inc. in April 2006 as Managing Director and Head of the firm’s Alternative Investments Group (AIG).
Prior to joining Northeast, Adi served as the Chief Operating Officer of Straus Capital Group, LLC, a family office located in Hackensack, New Jersey. At this growing family office, his time and efforts were focused primarily on the investment portfolio which had a significant allocation to alternative investments (in excess of 40%) and fixed income (approximately 40%).
From 2002-2004, Mr. Raviv served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of U.S. Wireless Data, Inc., a public company that provided wireless transaction delivery and gateway services to the payments processing industry. Prior to USWD, from 1999-2001, Adi was the Co-Chairman and CFO of THCG, Inc., a public technology merchant banking firm.
Mr. Raviv spent over 12 years in Investment Banking after attaining his MBA. He worked as an investment banker at Lehman Brothers from 1987-1993 and then served as the head of Global Investment Banking at Oscar Gruss & Son Inc. from 1994-1996. From 1996-2001, Adi was a Managing Director of Tower Hill Securities, Inc., the successor of the U.S. investment banking arm of Hambros Bank Limited.
A member of the Boards of Directors of a public company (member of their audit committee) and a private company, and the trustee of a liquidating trust, Mr. Raviv also serves on the Boards of Directors of The American Friends of the Hebrew University- National and Greater New York.
Adi received his MBA, Finance and International Business, with honors from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business in 1987 and his bachelor’s degree, International Relations, with honors from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1981. He lives with his wife (a practicing physician) and three daughters in New York City.
