Under the leadership of Lee Hayes, John Dwyer and Richard Stack, this group focuses on adding value to some of the largest institutions in the United States and abroad.

These three professional have more than 100 years of combined experience and they all worked together at Lehman Brothers for several years.

Lee Hayes has had a long career in municipal bonds. After 13 years at Salomon Brothers in institutional sales and as institutional sales manager, Lee joined Lehman Brothers to rebuild their municipal bond capital markets business.  He remained there for another 13 years, successfully managing the municipal product line for Lehman Brothers.

Subsequent to leaving Lehman, John Dwyer was the founder and President of Asch-Dwyer Municipals, as institutionally focused municipal bond firm.  Most recently, John was a consultant for a private equity financial institution.

Dick Stack spent the last 23 years in the municipal bond business at Lehman Brothers.  For 18 of those years, he was a secondary flow trader in various sectors of the market. Dick spent the last 5 years trading a proprietary book (in excess of $2.1 billion) for Lehman Brothers.

Also with the group are:

Jason T. Carpenter who joined Northeast after 10 years at Merrill Lynch where he was responsible for trading all long national issues, managing an average daily position of $57 million to $200 million.  His clients include hedge funds, money mangers, insurance companies and mutual funds.

Under the leadership of James Cahill, Northeast is becoming a reliable source of added value to major institutions who invest in taxable bonds.

Jim Cahill started his career with Salomon Brothers in the 1970’s.  He rose to Manager of the Bank Group at Salomon and eventually had responsibility for several fixed income groups with high visibility in the firm.

In 1987 Jim joined Lehman Brothers as a managing director in charge the firm’s sales group covering major accounts for mortgage, corporate and government issues.  He built a strong relationship with all of Lehman’s trading desks and senior management.

Following the Wall Trade Center tragedy of September 11, 2001, Jim joined Keefe Bruyette and Woods as Executive Vice President and Co-Manager of Fixed Income.  He took their 2 person operation and built it to over 60 professionals in 6 years.  Jim retired from Keefe in 2007 after a successful initial public offering and has decided to get back in the game with Northeast.

Other members of Jim's team include the following:

John Glynn has a successful history as a corporate bond trader for many years, dealing with both international and domestic clients.  He spent the last 13 years with J.P. Morgan and with Merrill Lynch in their institutional bond departments here in the United States and in London.

Bill Burns joins us from Keefe Bruyette and Woods where he covered that firm’s major accounts.  He is a salesman of high integrity and strong experience, dating back to his days at Drexel Burman.

Austin Troy is a Wall Street veteran with more than 30 years of fixed income experience.  He was most recently employed by Guggenheim Capital selling high yield and distressed securities. 

Austin has an extensive background in fixed income securities.  He worked for twenty years at Lehman Brothers and also spent time at Merrill Lynch and Chase Securities.

Austin graduated from the College of the Holy Cross and served in the United States Marine Corps and the United States Marine Corps Reserve.
